I am a graduate of Jeffersonville-Youngsville Central School, the Athens Technological Institute, Athens, Greece, and Sullivan County Community College.

After graduating college I worked in business and started working part-time for a European Master Craftsman in Stained Glass, who eventually became my mentor. It was he who encouraged me to do Stained Glass and I began an apprenticeship lasting three years. I realized I had finally found what I wanted to pursue for the rest of my life. Over the next six years I worked with my mentor on some of the largest jobs in the country:

Star (663 bytes)Ceilings for both Maxwells Plum Restaurants in New York City and San Francisco. These restaurants have since closed, but both ceilings are now in their new home in the Russian Tea Room in New York City.

Star (663 bytes)Ceilings for the Potomac Restaurant outside Washington, DC, made entirely of handmade stained glass jewels.

Star (663 bytes)A large peacock window and many shades made out of both Stained Glass and hand made stained glass jewels for Tavern On The Green in New York City.

I have also won many “First Place” prizes at various art shows for autonomous pieces, along with a first place award in a national show for a custom piece called “The Milky Way”. I also Lecture on Stained Glass and have taught at Elder Hostel and BOCES on procedure and technique. I am a past president and past Executive Director of the Catskill Art Society, Hurleyville, NY.
